I’ll start. The 1964 Pontiac GTO DID HAVE TRI POWER. It had a cable operated three carb operation. When the throttle was WOT, the spring opened the other two carbs. When not on wot, the car ran on the big two barrel. As a result of its cheap performance, lots of young people bought them. The gas bill to feed this thing was enormous (with my neighbor reporting TEN MPG IN THE CITY), so they would perform an “fuel economy” mod (12 mpg is better than 10) by disconnecting the two spring engaged cars. This happened to my neighbor’s goat, but it's an easy fix.

The smart fortwo W451’s computer has “expansion slots” that makes electrical projects hilariously easy. Wire up your toy, wire it to a fuse, then just plug it into the computer!

Spot the coolness. Reverse GIS is cheating.

So you’re saying laser tag with smart cars is a possible thing?

Technically, yes it is! Or Pong, if that’s your kinda thing :)
Well damn, Kinja won’t let me post a pic of smart car pong. :(

If set up correctly tri-power is actually very fuel efficient. My grandpas 34 ford pickup has tri power and the thing gets 15-17 around town. Since your only really crushing around off the middle two barrel. (Note- ALL GM tri power setups used the same carb configuration which is 3 Rochester 2GCs the middle carb had a choke being the only difference.) tri power is way more fuel efficant than the dual four barrels on my 33 ford.

The ??-2005 W-Body Impala’s with the 3.4 could actually achieve over 35 mpg hwy because it’s extremely light for it’s size, mainly because it has no features.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I JUST THOUGHT OF A NEW AUTOMOTIVE SPORT!
I call it - LAZERCROSS!!!! One part autocross, one part laser tag! It’s basically a big autocross type environment with taller obstacles to hide behind but you have gunners who can shoot the other cars! You can gain bonus points by doing like slalom sections and going through gates and checkpoints but it often means going out in the open. Best sport ever.

Is that a 3rd pedal or a weird looking footrest?

Count me in!!! I’d do it just for the kickass naming. :D

I guess it’s technically 4 pedals. But that’s not what I mean.

Citroën’s fancy hydraulic suspension is well-known, but some of the neat ‘side effects’ of it are pretty obscure to those that haven’t owned them, but are incredibly neat, nonetheless.
The rear brakes draw their hydraulic pressure off the rear suspension. As well as being a neat way to do load-sensitive braking, this also means that the rear end ‘squats’ slightly when braking hard, which nicely counteracts the front-end dive that you normally get.
Even cooler is the fact that you don’t need a jack. The tool kit instead comes with a nifty foldable stand that slots into the jacking points. You simply set the suspension on full-high, put the stand underneath, set it to full-low, and let hydraulics and suspension geometry do the work for you!

people with tri power gtos that disconnect the carbs should be punch in the vagina.
